林書豪前場攻下29分幫助湖人殺退76人中止4連敗之後，總教練史考特昨終於開金口允諾讓林書豪在今日上午8點客場與雷霆之戰先發上陣。
林書豪從火箭轉戰至湖人，季初得到球團委以重任擔任先發控衛，可惜只打了20場比賽就因表現起伏過大、失誤率過高，加上防守被詬病而被踢出先發名單。
降為替補之後的林書豪一度陷入低潮，並且傳出有可能被交易出去，直到明星賽與季中交易截止日確定續留洛杉磯之後才逐漸找回手感，同時也替自己爭取到展現實力的機會。
這是林書豪自今年1月20日與太陽之役後再次以先發身分出賽。史考特表示，「我早說過會讓林書豪回到先發，和他最近表現好壞沒有關聯，不過和雷霆的這場比賽會嘗試讓林書豪與克拉克生搭配，希望能激發出漂亮火花。」
林書豪得知消息後說，「我和克拉克生之間沒有誰是一定控球或得分後衛，隨著比賽進行可以不斷變化，這樣才能相互幫忙、照顧。」
湖人今日碰到的是由韋斯布魯克領軍的雷霆，韋少本季已交出10次「大三元」驚人成績單，湖人想要贏恐怕不易，但可以期待的是林書豪能否打出「林來瘋」時期的丰采。
